A porch in four pieces
A porch reads as finished from the street with four things and no more: something on the door, one light source, a line leading to the steps, and one tall object.
The door wants a wreath with enough depth to cast its own shadow — flat wreaths disappear at dusk. The light wants to be warm and slightly too dim. The line is a garland or a run of stakes. The tall object is what stops the eye wandering off down the block.
If you add a fifth thing, take one away. Density is not the same as intention.
